Harnessing Canada’s Love for Hockey to Help Those Who Need it Most.
Since 1996, Hockey Helps the Homeless (HHTH), a nationally registered charity, has granted over $24 Million to end homelessness in Canada. HHTH will host 17 charity tournaments across the country from October 2023 to May 2024, supporting over 50 community beneficiaries. All net proceeds remain local to support front-line organizations fighting homelessness.
Hockey Helps the Homeless engages over 20,000 donors, 3,000 players, and 1,000 volunteers to face-off against homelessness. Leveraging Canada’s affinity for hockey, the Pro-Am tournaments pair community participants with NHL players and Olympians like Wendal Clark, Doug Gilmour, Jayna Hefford, and Georges Laraque to play in a friendly, but competitive, tournament.
Players at HHTH Tournaments are treated like pros. From a bag drop service to fully outfitted dressing rooms to custom pro-style jerseys, participants get to feel like a pro while supporting important work and truly making a difference in their communities.
